AI Automation & AI Agents in Vancouver
AI automation means using AI models and connected software to handle repetitive business work, such as answering enquiries, sorting emails, qualifying leads and updating your CRM, so people can focus on the work only people can do. I help small and mid-sized businesses in Vancouver and across Canada put AI to work in ways that are practical, measurable and safe.
Behnam Dehghan is a Vancouver digital marketer and software engineer specialising in home services and trades businesses. That focus shapes how I approach AI: I start with the leads, calls and paperwork that cost you time or jobs, then build the smallest system that fixes them.
What I build
AI chatbots and website assistants
A website assistant trained on your own content: your services, service areas, FAQs, pricing approach, warranty terms and booking process. It answers questions in plain language, collects contact details and hands qualified enquiries to your team. It is set up to say “I don’t know, here is how to reach us” rather than guess, and every conversation can be reviewed.
AI agents
An AI agent is a system that can take steps on its own, such as reading an incoming request, looking up information, drafting a reply and creating a task, within limits you define. I build agents with clear permissions and checkpoints, so a person approves anything that matters before it goes out.
Workflow automation
Many wins do not need advanced AI at all, just good plumbing between tools. I build workflows with n8n, Make, Zapier or custom scripts to move data between forms, email, spreadsheets, CRMs and accounting tools. Typical examples:
- New web form or ad lead goes straight into your CRM, with an instant acknowledgement to the customer
- Incoming emails and documents are read, summarised and routed to the right person
- Invoices, work orders or intake forms are extracted into structured data
- Weekly reporting on leads, ad spend and calls is compiled automatically
- Internal knowledge-base search so staff can find answers in your own documents
Connecting AI models to your business tools
I connect the OpenAI, Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini APIs to the tools you already use. The right model depends on the task, cost and data sensitivity, and I will explain the trade-offs rather than push one vendor.
AI content workflows with human review
AI can draft service descriptions, social posts, ad variations and email replies quickly, but it should not publish unchecked. I set up workflows where AI does the first draft and a person edits and approves it, which keeps quality and accuracy where they need to be.
AI for home services and trades
This is where I spend most of my time. Since 2022 I have worked as Digital Marketing Specialist at Angels Heating and Cooling, an HVAC company in Metro Vancouver, so I see the day-to-day reality of trades lead handling first-hand. For an HVAC company, plumber, electrician or renovation contractor, the expensive problems are usually missed calls, slow follow-up and time spent on admin instead of jobs. AI and automation help in a few specific ways.
After-hours lead capture
When a furnace fails on a cold night or a pipe bursts on a Sunday, the homeowner calls the first company that answers. Missed-call text-back sends an immediate text to anyone whose call you could not take, and an AI phone or chat assistant can collect the address, the problem and the urgency, then flag true emergencies to the on-call technician. You wake up to organised leads instead of voicemails.
Quote follow-up
Many quotes go cold simply because nobody followed up. I build sequences that send a polite check-in after a quote goes out, answer common questions about financing or rebate programs in general terms, and alert your team when a customer replies or opens the quote again.
Scheduling and job management
I connect forms, chat and phone leads to job-management tools such as Jobber, ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro, so new requests arrive with the details your dispatcher needs. Reminders, review requests after completed jobs and seasonal maintenance reminders (furnace tune-ups in fall, AC checks before summer) can all run automatically.

AI training for teams
Tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot are only useful if your team knows how to use them well. I run practical training sessions, in person in Metro Vancouver or online, covering:
- Writing clear prompts for everyday tasks such as emails, quotes, summaries and job notes
- What not to paste into AI tools, and how to protect customer and business data
- Checking AI output for accuracy before it reaches a customer
- Setting simple team guidelines for AI use
- Choosing which tools fit your existing Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 setup
Training is available in English and Persian (Farsi).
How a project works
- Discovery: we map the process you want to improve, who touches it and what a good result looks like.
- Plan and quote: I recommend the simplest approach that works and give you a fixed, transparent quote based on scope.
- Build: I build and test the system with your real data, with human review steps where they matter.
- Launch and training: your team learns how it works and how to adjust it.
- Monitor and improve: we review results and refine prompts, rules and integrations.
Privacy and safety
AI systems handle real customer information, so I design with privacy in mind: limiting what data goes to AI providers, using business accounts and API settings that suit your needs, logging what the system does, and keeping a person in the loop for decisions that affect customers. If a task should not be automated, I will tell you.

AI works best on top of solid foundations. A well-built website gives the assistant somewhere to live, SEO and Google Ads bring in the leads, and custom software fills gaps that off-the-shelf tools cannot. See all services.
FAQ
Will an AI chatbot give customers wrong answers?
Any AI can make mistakes, which is why I train assistants only on your approved content, instruct them to hand off when unsure, and review conversations after launch to improve them.
Do I need a big budget to start with AI automation?
No. Many useful automations, such as missed-call text-back or sending leads into your CRM, are small projects. Quotes are fixed and depend on scope.
Which AI model do you use?
I work with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini, and choose based on the task, cost and how sensitive the data is.
Can this connect to Jobber, ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro?
Usually, yes, through their available integrations or APIs. I confirm what is possible for your specific setup during discovery.
Is AI automation only for trades businesses?
No. Trades are my specialty, but the same approach works for clinics, schools, studios and professional services.
